You are all welcome to the Anglican Comprehensive Secondary School, Kubwa Abuja. Your journey to success and greatness in life starts from this day of your arrival at ACSS KUBWA. Therefore, you cannot afford to toy with this great opportunity. The School was founded in 2006 by the Diocese of Kubwa (Anglican Communion), by the Divine Inspiration of God, of Late Rt. Rev. Simon Bala, who translated his vision into reality of establishing a unique Secondary School that could compare with other Secondary Schools in our nation today.
. As the name implies, you will discover the comprehensive nature of the school as it emphasizes the Grammar, the Business, and the Vocational areas of study. The Goal of the school is to make a complete man in moral, literary and vocational spheres of life. Consequently, Our Motto is Character, Commitment and Excellence. It is therefore your sacred responsibility to exhibit the culture of excellence, which you will imbibe in ACSS wherever you go, so that posterity will bless you. You must let the world identify you as a person of integrity, which derives from the comprehensive teaching and learning activities of ACSS. There is no alternative; you must work assiduously hard to attain the height required of you. With the fear of God, you must be willing to help those around you, for it is your school tradition. However, you must eschew examination
malpractice, for God hates it and the school condemns it. ACSS is founded on God’s word and it is Bible base. We are Christians – God’s children, and indeed the light of the world. Therefore, it is our hope that you will develop the following traits:
- You must be honest, full of integrity and show unalloyed respect to the school authority, your parents and your elders.
- You must be self-reliant by being willing to learn new things in the School, Library, Laboratories, Home Economics Labs, Sports/Field Events and Agricultural Projects.
- You must develop skills and full understanding in all the fields of learning around you.
- You must respect the dignity of labour and be associated with value in today’s world.
- You must be conversant with any new national policy on education i.e. the present 9-3-4 system or any changes that may occur in the future.
- It is required that every student of Anglican Comprehensive Secondary School will have an open mind to learn positively from their teachers and from other people. No problem either extrinsic
- or instrinsic should weigh you down. If you have any problem, report same to the Principal. It is your bounding duty as ACSS Student to help make the school a better place than you found it.
Charity begins at home, from here you can turn this great nstitution and country around for better. With God all things are possible. (Mt. 19:26). Once more you are welcome and may God guide you throughout your academic journey in this great institution. Amen.
